Apart from the economic benefits of salvaging a very expensive luxury bag, we found that different people did it for different reasons, and not surprisingly, it's not always about money. In fact, most of the repair in these instances cost significantly more than the cost of purchasing a new one where available.
Over the decade that I have repaired bags, here is a compilation of Higher/Compelling Reasons for repairing a bag. I wish to thank those people who shared their reason for repairing the bag although they know there is no economic benefit in doing so. You may like to ask yourselves if you are in any of the following situation before deciding whether to bring your not-so-expensve bag here.
a) It's your lucky bag! You have struck lottery, closed major deals, avoided disasters while carrying that bag!, You want that luck to stay close to you at all times.
b)You love Gaia and want to save Gaia and future generations. Enough of all those lips service we hear so often, its high time to do your part. Each bag you repair means one trash less,
c) Its a gift from someone close to the heart and hold immense sentimental value,
d) Company/organisation symbol. You profess your loyalty to the company/organisation by carrying this bag. It gives you a sense of security,
e) The bag is one of a kind and you love your bag so much so that you are willing to pay any price to get it back into serviceable condition again,
f) The bag is tailor made for an expensive equipment/instrument and is not sold separately,
This stroller seat is part of a 'expensive' equipment with high 'intrinsic value' in Chinese belief.
g) The bag is a borrowed item and it is only right to return in same serviceable condition.
h) The bag has been blessed by a highly respected high standing religious figure. The feat to get the blessing again is extremely difficult or may not exist anymore.
If none of the answers to the questions is affirmative, I strongly encourage you to avoid wasting your time bringing your bag to us as we are a professional bag repair service.
With this understanding, I hope we can both walk away from our deal feeling like winners.
